The wrinkles and lines on the face can best be defined as either dynamic or static. Crow feet are usually caused by movement of the muscles around the face, while static lines are normally caused by sun damage, weight loss or ageing. Most dynamic lines comprise of the “frown” or “worry” lines on the between the eyebrows and at the forehead, dynamic lines at the nasolabial lines or corners of the eyes that occur at the area of the higher lip (mostly caused through smiling)! There are many ways I which such lines can be eradicated. Considering the fact that prevention is better than cure, we make use of muscle relaxants. This is often injected into a patient’s facial muscle so as to stop the movement and relax the muscle.
